I have been following Scott on YouTube for many years and had learnt much from his tutorials and walkthroughs as I started my path into food photography. From YouTube I followed onto Patreon for a time and then became one of his first few hundred subscribers when Tinhouse Studios launched Studio Access. This proved to be an excellent investment of £10 monthly. The in depth knowledge provided is truly worth it and I can attest to now being very confident in the use of 1 light in my own work.

Really enjoyed the workshop. It goes through some very specific steps to take when setting up a business, as well as common pitfalls to avoid, how to identify areas for improvement, pricing, negotiating with clients, and so on. Overall, a solid foundation to get you started

He doesn’t provide meaningless instructions, but rather opens your mind and creativity to show you what can be achieved within your own style and ambitions. I have learnt what the industry expects, how things are done and what pitfalls to avoid along the way – something you’ll only ever learn by someone who has been there first hand.

Scott’s YouTube channel has been a real resource for me, so I bought the marketing workshop. I went freelance last year after years working in-house, and it gave me a practical handle on the parts of the business I’d always found murky, pricing, positioning, and how to actually pitch yourself. It’s rare for someone with this much industry experience to share it so openly in a field that can feel so gated from the outside. Highly recommended to any photographer.
