This is the BIG workshop on lighting, with a twist. We will also have a pro retoucher working on the images and explaining what and why they are doing things in order to get the work to the next level including screen recordings. This will be by far the most in depth workshop to date.
In this final lighting workshop for 2021 we will be looking at way to advance your lighting styles. Before starting this workshop you will need an understanding of the basics of flash as some of the concepts are adding multiple concepts together and your brain might melt a little. However, if you have undertaken the other flash workshops here or know how to meter flash, you will be able to cope with the topics due to the way I will be layering them into the workshop.
The lighting styles and skills we will be looking at will have the current commercial photography styles in mind in order to make sure that what you are learning, as well as being useful technically, can also translate to a sellable portfolio to art buyers, creative directors, local cafes and start up brands. Most importantly, making your work stand out from the other photographers and be of more interest to clients than photographers and camera brands.
As well as the practical session (details below) there will be a theory section looking at how to keep on top of what the market is looking for and how to keep your work up to date without following every passing trend.
In this practical session we will be covering;
Soft and airy light for advertising
